One of the great things about living where I do is that I can just open my door and within minutes I'm running through some really pretty areas.
I live in the burbs of a small city, right on the edge of a rapidly dwindling hobby farm area (sad sigh).
Sometimes I'll drive to my running destination but most of the time I prefer to just start from my house.
Today was one of those days. Mostly because I didn't feel like running. It was COLD out there, baby. I'm not going to tell you the actual temperature because most of you will just laugh at me. But hey! It's a damp cold and I could feel it. So it's easier to just get out the door and run before I have time to change my mind while driving somewhere.
I'm slowly getting better from December's "chest infection fest" but it's taking longer to get back in the swing of things than I thought it would. Today's run was a case in point. I had to take multiple mini walk breaks. Not cause I couldn't breathe or anything, just because I felt tired. I think I lost a LOT of fitness over the last month.
But! on the bright side :) I ran three times this week for a total of 19 km. I know it's not much, but it's better than nothing and it's a positive start.
Here's where I ran today (with my husband and dog).

Goal for next week: Let's see if I can get in 22 km.
Have a great running week, everyone!

That looks a really nice place to run - and it sounds as if there's plenty of stuff to keep Max interested too!
ReplyDeleteIt's cold here too, and snowing, time to get the Yaktrax out.
Oh yes! Max loves his off-leash runs. I have to watch him closely near the duck ponds, though.
DeleteI've never used Yaktrax. The snow never sticks around long enough when we DO get it :)
looks like a really pretty place to run.
ReplyDeleteYes! I'm very fortunate.
